"Never judge a "bun" by it's cover!" says Little Liv ;)
This weekend was Fastelaven. We don't celebrate it much, but kids decorate with colorful feathers, and we make special rolls with cream. It turned out to be a super nice Sunday at the farm!
We missed some ingredients for our baking, so Liv ran over to my dad to borrow some, with the promise that he would get a little of what we made since he was so generous ;) He was not hard to convince.
Liv is very dedicated, but she hasn't quite mastered the art of baking just yet, so the rolls ended up looking like a wild cat made them! :D Well, they were only for us, and it's great that she wants to help!
The most important part is on the inside anyways! A valuable lesson for kids to learn :)
We took our rolls and decor outside, made some coffee and juice and called over to Grandpa :)
The sun was shining, new snow had just covered the ground, and the rolls tasted amazing!
Liv taught us that day to never judge a "bun" by it's cover ;)
Did you make Fastelaven rolls this weekend?
